"Hands down my favorite pair of sunglasses. They fit great, the color is beautiful — I've ordered at least 4 because I tend to lose them, but they're worth it."

Tabby★★★★★

"I'm OBSESSED. The most comfortable and sturdy pair I've had. They don't get tangled in my hair, and I've had them a year without a single scratch."

Candace W.★★★★★

"They fit my face perfectly and feel comparable to luxury brands I've bought before. No logo, just a classic design — and they're truly polarized. Amazing quality for the price."

Amanda J.★★★★★

"I was looking for nice sunglasses with polarized lenses. I've had these for a few months and they are great."

Lana H.★★★★★

"I absolutely LIVE in these. Perfect shape for my face, lightweight, great quality, and they don't snag my hair when I put them on top of my head."

Kaci T.★★★★★

"Lightweight, look good, and actually do their job against the sun. Multiple people asked where I got them the first day I wore them."

Nadia★★★★★

"I'm rough on my glasses, so these are perfect — they don't break the bank, and if I lose a pair it's no biggie. I always get compliments on them too."

Abby P.★★★★★

"Classic aviator look with a sleeker, modern feel. Great quality for the price, and I get compliments every time I wear them."

More than the frame.

A hard case, a microfiber cloth, and the frame. No filler, no fluff. We'd rather show you what's inside than tell you it's nice.

The sisters behind Hollis & Mae
The Sisters · 03

Two sisters. Six frames. No middle markup.

Hollis & Mae is named after our grandmothers. The Eleanor is named after their best friend — a woman who wore the same pair of tortoise frames for thirty years and lost them once, on a dock, in 1987. We grew up on a lake in Wisconsin. We cycled through pairs of designer sunglasses and four times that many from the gas station. We got tired of the cycle.

So we found the pair we wanted and couldn't — polarized, UV400, lightweight alloy — and we're selling them direct, without the designer markup. Six frames in the roster. Each one chosen the same way.

Under $30 for polarized aviators? What's the catch?+
There isn't one. Direct-to-consumer pricing — no designer licensing fees, no department store markup, no retail middleman. You're paying for the frame, not the marketing.
How good are the lenses?+
Polarized with full UV400 protection — 100% UVA and UVB blocked. If you've never owned real polarized lenses, you'll notice the difference the first time you look at water, a windshield, or a phone screen.
How do I know they'll fit my face?+
The Eleanor is 57mm lens, 15mm bridge, 146mm temple — best for square, oval, or long faces, with a head circumference of 54–58cm. If the fit isn't right, send them back within 30 days.
What if I lose them?+
At $28 a pair, you're allowed to. That's the point. Order a replacement whenever you need one.
I've been burned by cheap sunglasses before — why are these different?+
Honest answer: we're not promising they'll last a decade. What we are promising is real polarization (a lot of sub-$30 sunglasses cheat with stick-on film), full UV400 protection, and a price low enough that you're not catastrophically out if something happens. The math is different at $28.
Do you offer a warranty?+
No formal warranty. We'd rather be honest about that than make a promise we can't keep at $28. What we do offer is 30-day returns — if there's a defect when they arrive, send them back.
How long does shipping take?+
6 to 9 business days. Ships direct from our warehouse. Tracking arrives by email.
What if I change my mind after they arrive?+
30 days to decide. Contact us if they're not right and we'll work out the return.
